ACCG Files Amicus Curiae Briefs on Behalf of Georgia Counties

ACCG has filed briefs in Florida v. Georgia (i.e., the water wars case before the Supreme Court of the United States), Chattanooga-Hamilton County Hospital Authority d/b/a Erlanger Health System v. Walker County (i.e., a sovereign immunity/intergovernmental agreement case before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals), and Richmond Hill v. Maia (i.e., a suicide liability case before the Georgia Supreme Court).  The Legal Department is currently working on briefs for Four JS Family, LLP v. the Development Authority of Columbus, Georgia and Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. (i.e., a case regarding the sufficiency of consideration for a development authority project before the Georgia Court of Appeals), Georgia Motor Trucking Association v. Department of Revenue (i.e., a motor fuel tax case before the Georgia Supreme Court), and Board of Commissioners of Lowndes County v. MFH Development, LLC (i.e., compensation in a condemnation case before the Georgia Court of Appeals).
