Coast2Coast Rx Discount Card

Many families and individuals are struggling to afford prescription medications.  Discount prescription programs help families and individuals who are not insured or are underinsured receive significant discounts on prescriptions filled by local retailers.  To address this issue, many companies have begun offering pharmacy discount programs.  After a thorough assessment of discount prescription programs, ACCG has entered into an agreement with Coast2Coast. 

The agreement with Coast2Coast provides the broadest array of services and support to ACCG members and offers discount pharmacy and medical benefits to citizens across the state at no cost to the county or the card user.  Coast2Coast and its partners use purchasing power to negotiate substantial discounts from pharmacies.  Discounts are only available at participating pharmacies and medical providers which can be found at www.coast2coastrx.com. 

The prescription card is good for the entire family and has no health, age or income restrictions.  In addition, there are no fees or paperwork for citizens complete.  Card users simply present the card at the time of the service and receive the discount.  There is no expiration date or limit on the number of times the card can be used.  The typical savings on prescription drugs is 55%.

There is no cost to counties to participate in the Coast2Coast Rx Card program.  The Board of Commissioners must endorse the program and execute an agreement with Coast2Coast.  Coast2Coast will market, print and distribute the cards in the county.  Coast2Coast will work with pharmacies in the county to create a custom webpage for the county so residents can locate a participating pharmacy, print a card and compare prices.
