NACo Needs Georgia County Leaders

Submit Your Application for a Presidential Appointment

The National Association of Counties (NACo) needs Georgia county leaders. NACo First Vice President and DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson recently announced the application period for 2021-2022 Presidential Leadership and Committee Appointments.

Why get involved in NACo?

As NACo works on behalf of all counties across the country, on issues ranging from agriculture to infrastructure, this is your opportunity to represent your local community and state at the national level. Like ACCG’s work with the Georgia General Assembly, NACo uses a member-driven policy process as the basis of its advocacy work with Congress and other federal officials.

During the last year, NACo has led the way to ensure America’s 3,069 counties have access to the necessary resources to lead the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Recent successes include securing local relief funding through the CARES Act and the American Rescue Plan which provides $65.1 billion in direct, flexible aid to every county in the nation.

If your county is not yet a NACo member, ACCG highly encourages you to join. Click here for more information.
