NACO Presidential Leadership and Committee Appointments

The opportunities to serve in a National Association of Counties (NACo) leadership position has come! Each year, the NACO President makes appointments to leadership roles and to membership for certain committees. All 159 counties in Georgia are members of NACo; therefore, elected county officials are eligable to serve!

To be considered for a presidential appointment you MUST complete the online application to NACo by 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 30, 2023.

Application for Presidential Leadership and Committee Appointments are for:

1. Policy Steering Committee chairs and vice chairs and subcommittee chairs and vice chairs
2. Large Urban County Caucus and Rural Action Caucus chairs and vice chairs
3. Standing Committee chairs and vice chairs
4. Ad Hoc Committee, Task Force and Advisory Board chairs and vice chairs
5. At-Large NACo Board Directors

*NOTE: NACo Policy Steering Committee membership is not a part of this application process. State associations of counties are responsible for nominating general members of policy steering committees. Information on Policy Steering Committee membership will be sent out later this spring.
