Safety Coordinator Training
Safety Coordinator Essentials is a comprehensive training program designed to equip local government safety coordinators with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to develop, implement, and manage an effective safety program. Attendees will learn how to develop a comprehensive Safety Action Plan that transforms findings into measurable goals, outlines corrective actions, and secures leadership commitment to ensure accountability, continuous improvement, and long-term safety success. This training satisfies the Safety Discount Programs' Safety Coordinator Module I, II, III annual training requirements. This training is presented in partnership with GMA and is free to ACCG-GSIWCF and ACCG-IRMA members.

ACCG Insurance Programs Regional Roundtables
We're excited to announce a new opportunity to connect with ACCG Insurance Programs as we travel across the state for a series of regional roundtable meetings. These in-person sessions are designed to introduce our new ACCG Risk Control team, share valuable insights, and create an open forum for members to discuss challenges, exchange ideas, and help shape future services.

Training Credit Information
If you have not yet completed this year's annual Safety Coordinator Module training, attendance at one of these regional sessions can satisfy that requirement. Attendance can also qualify for the additional in-person employee training requirement. Please note that attendance may only be applied toward one of these requirements—it cannot be used to satisfy both.

Contracting with Confidence: Practical Training for Local Governments
ACCG has partnered with GMA to host a four-hour contracts class designed to help local governments better understand contracting, risk transfer, indemnity, compliance, and risk mitigation. This practical course provides clear guidance on formulating, preparing, reviewing, and approving contracts while ensuring statutory and legal requirements are met and reducing potential risks and unintended consequences.
Participants will receive a reference notebook containing materials to support contract review and compliance efforts. The course is designed for city and county managers/administrators, elected officials, constitutional officers, attorneys, clerks, risk managers, and anyone involved in developing or overseeing contracts.
The program will be presented by Jeff Strickland, Partner at Jarrard & Davis, LLP, who focuses on local government representation, government contracting, and policy development.

Stay Ahead of Risk: General Liability Training for Georgia Local Governments
ACCG, in partnership with GMA, will be offering General Liability for Georgia Local Governments training tailored to local officials, administrators, law enforcement, risk managers, and staff seeking a practical understanding of liability exposure, insurance fundamentals, and incident response.
Presented by James Westbury, nationally recognized expert in local government liability and insurance, this comprehensive course covers key liability risks facing Georgia local governments, insurance basics, emerging litigation trends like nuclear verdicts, and best practices for responding to critical incidents. Participants will gain actionable strategies to reduce risk, protect their organizations, and stay compliant with state and federal law.
